Travelling Fronts in Random Walk Systems

Abstract. In the scalar reaction diffusion equation Brownian motion is replaced by a correlated random walk. Depending on the stochastic interpretation, several systems in the form of two coupled hyperbolic equations result. For these random walk systems the exact conditions for the existence of travelling front solutions are determined.
